About the Role
In this role you’ll carry out routine, planned and reactive electrical maintenance duties, fault diagnostics and repairs to a wide range of electrical systems to ensure our customers receive a high quality, efficient response service. You’ll also work on minor installations for all electrical services throughout the University.
Salary and Working Hours
Base salary up to £34,132 per annum (depending on role), plus a market supplement of £2,000 per annum. Working hours are Monday to Friday business hours with occasional weekends on a rota basis (approximately 5 weekends a year; you’ll only ever be required to work 5 days in 7). Participation in the on-call maintenance operations is required.
Flexible Working: We will consider applications for part-time or other flexible working arrangements (e.g., job share), although the position is advertised as full-time.
About You
You will have an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Installations or Maintenance with the ability to carry out installation, maintenance and electrical testing in accordance with BS7671 18th Edition Wiring Regulations and the Electricity at Work Act. A strong understanding of Health & Safety and related processes is required.
