Job Description Salary: £25,120 Location: Havant We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented placement student to join our finance team for a 12-month Accounting and Finance placement. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience across a wide range of accounting and finance functions, including journal entry preparation, month-end close processes, bank reconciliations, payroll support, and internal billing. The successful candidate will play an active role in supporting both day-to-day operations and key financial reporting activities, working closely with various teams to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following : Analysing accounting issues & preparation of journal entries. Assisting with monthly accounting close process & US checklists Bank account monitoring & preparation of General ledger reconciliations. Supplying invoice & billing backup for recharges to Business Areas. Prepare Bank transfers & some ad hoc payments. Submittal of UK Payroll files into BACS Internal & External Audit process support. Correct recording of payroll, overheads, rents, pre-paids, liabilities and other expenses. Clearance of suspense accounts Maintain Internal Billing System details.
