As a Soft Fruit Grower, you’ll be hands-on in the day-to-day management of commercial soil-grown blueberry and Aronia berry crops—supporting the senior growing team to ensure exceptional plant performance, strong yields, and premium fruit quality throughout the season. You’ll also play a valuable part in wider estate and farm activities, contributing to a diverse and rewarding workload.
What You’ll Be Doing
1. Monitoring and managing Soft Fruit crop health to achieve quality and yield targets
2. Working closely with farm and estate teams to plan weekly activities based on crop needs
3. Supporting senior estate teams and the Farms Manager
4. Participating in Pest & Disease programmes using biological controls
5. Carrying out pruning, weeding, mowing, topping and general crop-area upkeep
6. Completing weekly crop assessments and maintaining accurate records
7. Assisting with harvesting, weeding teams and seasonal staff supervision
8. Taking part in rotated spraying duties
About You
You’re someone who loves working outdoors, takes pride in producing exceptional crops, and thrives in a hands-on horticultural role. You will bring:
9. Strong English communication skills
10. A self-motivated approach and the ability to work independently
11. Previous soft-fruit experience—especially blueberries (Aronia a bonus)
12. Excellent attention to detail and a practical, can-do attitude
13. A desire to develop your horticultural knowledge and progress within the role
