Overview
As a Supermarket Assistant, you'll help our difference be felt by our customers on every visit, providing the Partner-led service and passion for food that our customers expect from Waitrose. Your drive to go the extra mile will help build trust and loyalty for a lasting impression of the Waitrose brand.
Base pay range
This range is provided by Waitrose & Partners. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.
Responsibilities
* Stock replenishment – ensuring shelves are full and products are in the right place at the right time for customers.
* Fulfilling online customer orders ready for drivers to deliver to customers’ doors.
* Reducing wastage by following product due diligence and applying markdowns to items nearing sell-by dates.
* Collaborating with the wider shop team to support checkout, Click & Collect, on-demand orders, and more.
* Maintaining a safe and tidy working environment with general shopkeeping tasks.
Essential Skills/Experience
* Communication skills to work effectively as part of a team and with customers.
Desirable Skills/Experience
* Experience in a customer-facing role is welcomed.
* Up-to-date knowledge and strong interest in food and drink trends.
* Flexible approach to support the whole branch.
