Controllers Engineering
Controllers Engineering is responsible for designing and implementing solutions that support financial measurement and reporting, including revenue, balance sheet, liquidity and capital. We also help meet the firm’s global regulatory financial reporting obligations and build tools that drive efficiency and consistency across controller functions.
Controllers Engineering - Reporting
The Reporting team is building a common reporting platform to simplify how the firm handles financial regulatory reporting. We are creating a unified, scalable cloud-based platform using common data models and reusable validation and exception workflows to replace fragmented legacy processes. Engineers on the team leverage cutting edge AI tooling to accelerate development of automated workflows to ensure reporting is consistent and accurate across global regulators.
Responsibilities
1. Manage end-to-end systems development in an Agile environment, from requirements analysis through coding, testing, UAT, implementation and maintenance.
2. Produce technical designs, testing strategies and implementation plans.
3. Partner with Finance stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into process workflows, data requirements and specifications.
4. Build reusable solutions and identify opportunities for cross-divisional collaboration.
5. Contribute to data modelling and curation.
Basic Qualifications
6. Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
7. 6+ years of software development experience.
8. Strong analysis and design skills, plus knowledge of data structures, algorithms and performance-oriented design.
9. Strong communication skills with both technical and business audiences, and comfortable working with multiple global stakeholders.
Expert Knowledge in One Or More Of
10. Hands-on programming experience in Java or Python
11. Significant solutions architecture and system design experience
12. Experience of using Agentic AI coding tools -. Claude Code, Co-Pilot Agent Mode, Devin
13. Experienced with Cloud Technologies – ideally AWS –. S3, SQS, Lambda, Fargate
14. Strong RDBMS knowledge
15. Experience developing distributed, micro services-based applications.
16. Experience with data modelling and curation for large-scale datasets
Preferred Qualifications
17. Knowledge or interest in investment banking or financial instruments
18. Experience with big data concepts, such as Lakehouse, ETL data pipelines (. Spark, AWS Glue)
19. Experience with near real time and event-based systems like Kafka
