Job Title: PPM Engineer
Location: Essex
Salary: £52,000 + 10% bonus
Hours: Monday to Friday, days
Role Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and skilled PPM Engineer to join a busy FMCG manufacturing site. The role is key to ensuring all plant and machinery operate at peak efficiency, minimising downtime, and supporting production through structured maintenance programmes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop, implement, and manage Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules across all manufacturing equipment.
* Conduct routine inspections, diagnostics, and condition monitoring to identify potential issues.
* Work closely with maintenance and production teams to ensure minimal disruption during maintenance activities.
* Record, track, and report maintenance activities and performance metrics.
* Assist with installation, commissioning, and upgrades of new equipment.
* Recommend process improvements to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in a PPM, maintenance, or reliability engineering role within FMCG, manufacturing, or a similar environment.
* Strong mechanical, electrical, and PLC knowledge.
* Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, and conveyor systems preferred.
* Excellent organisational and communication skills.
* Ability to work proactively, problem-solve, and manage multiple priorities.
* Knowledge of CMMS systems and maintenance reporting tools advantageous.
