We are looking for a London based Project Director who can bring experience and qualities to enhance our already talented team working efficiently across multiple projects.
This is a senior Project Director role, not a production or single-project delivery position. The role is accountable for overseeing multiple large-scale experiential projects simultaneously, owning commercial performance (GP, forecasting and pricing), and setting the standard for how projects are run across the agency. You will lead senior project teams, act as the escalation point for clients and delivery, and operate as a business partner to senior leadership, beyond hands-on production execution.
Strategy
· Work closely with the Global Project & Production Director and Client Services Director to understand the vision and direction of the business and support through client relationship and delivery goals
· Attend business strategy meetings
· Support recruitment for new roles across the business
· Input into wider business goals and planning including marketing, training, social presence, insights and research
Project Management
· Project management – faultless project management of large-scale projects to include budget creation, critical paths, status documents, production schedules
· Documentation – creation of detailed and methodical budgets, project plans, team plans, schedules without assistance including being able to suggest new documents and streamlined ways of working for clients and team members
· Management – impeccable management of multiple projects within one timeframe including flawlessly managing your own whilst advising on more junior members of staff’s projects and project documentation
· Creative – confidently able to own and collaborate on pitch documents including facilitating research, strategy write ups, team plans, contingency procedures, ways of working and considerations
· Presentations – confident in leading on creative pitching and confident in leading client and team meetings with clear agendas and action points
· Communication – able to communicate effectively across the board from the team to suppliers and clients to senior management
· Relationships – able to cultivate positive relationships across the team, suppliers and clients to ensure productive ways of working and positive working environments
· Pro-active – able to come armed with solutions and suggestions and lead the way when it comes to pro-actively solving problems, outlining tasks and delegating
· Accountability – able to navigate difficult conversations with ease and strategically brainstorm solutions alongside the MD
Financial Acumen and Account Management
· Full visibility over the team’s annual calendar of works and resource for full scope with ability to forecast and plan ahead
· Effectively communicate relevant account information to superiors
· Being the main point of contact for all account briefings attending F2F briefings and delegating where appropriate
· Oversees team’s financial accountability including project estimating’s, budgets, reconciles and invoicing
· Owner of pipeline forecast and broad financial picture for relevant accounts
· Manage and maintain accounts for pillar clients, with a strategic approach to client retention
· Has awareness of longer-term account requirements and proactively initiates projects and account opportunities.
· Inputs into new business plans for accounts and account development alongside MD
· Proactively manages GP across all projects ensuring reports are up to date and targets are being met
Team Development & Communication
· Passion and talent for leading and mentoring a team including Senior Project Manager, Project Managers, Junior PMs and Project Coordinators. Including individual career development for line reports
· Coordinate internal training and learning presentations
· Proactive support on team recruitment alongside Global Project & Production Director
· Ensure internal processes reflect agency culture and values and are appropriately executed by all project managers
· Support Global Project & Production Director on team growth development and success planning
Key Skills
· Demonstrates excellent communication skills when liaising with clients, suppliers and internally; has the ability to communicate clearly and concisely in person, over the phone and via email, demonstrating diplomacy and good negotiation skills
· Experience in line managing and mentoring a team
• Passionate, self-motivated with the ability to show initiative, willing to immerse themselves in the brands they work with
· Energetic, self-motivated, consistently proactive and showing initiative; able to manage their own time well
· Mac literate in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
· A consistently calm and patient approach, able to remain organised and positive when dealing with multiple requests
· Exceptionally organized and able to manage multiple work streams simultaneously

Experience required:
Experience within a similar role within a similar sized agency with proven experience of running large complex projects with mixed project and production management teams
*Experience within events/brand experience industry within a team of 30 plus
*Experience of working in a high growth environment
