About The Opportunity
The Decommissioning Alliance (TDA) is a strategic partnership, operating within the DNWP framework and delivering critical decommissioning work at Sellafield, including the UK’s most challenging Legacy Ponds facilities. As a key partner within DNWP, TDA contributes to Sellafield Ltd.’s mission while ensuring communities, supply chains, and stakeholders benefit from meaningful, measurable Social Value outcomes.
We are now recruiting for a Social Value Lead who will be responsible for the end‑to‑end leadership of Social Value within TDA, including strategy, budgets, contract integration, programme design and delivery, stakeholder engagement, and robust reporting. This role ensures TDA delivers high quality, compliant, impactful Social Value programmes that reflect TDA’s Purpose, Mission, Vision and uphold the PIER values in every action.
Required Qualifications
* Proven Social Value leadership in a major project, infrastructure or nuclear environment, local government or third sector.
* Strong understanding of Social Value procurement, metrics, and contract integration. Experience managing multi‑programme Social Value delivery.
* Strong internal and external stakeholder engagement, partnership building, and community collaboration skills.
* Confidence in budgeting, financial tracking, and resource allocation.
* Excellent monitoring, reporting, and assurance capability.
* Knowledge of West Cumbria’s socio‑economic, VCSE, and education landscape.
* Experience working within a highly regulated industry or within DNWP partner organisations.
* Ability to translate technical programmes into meaningful community benefit.
* Familiarity with nuclear decommissioning culture and safety environment.
