Based in Devon, we're seeking an experienced customer-focused manager to expand our customer base and enhance our service offerings. This dual role involves managing existing clients while also developing new solutions to meet evolving needs, ensuring our commitment to continuous improvement. The position of Customer Account Manager involves: Oversee and nurture relationships with our valued and key customer accounts, primarily located from Cornwall through to Somerset, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded. Travel between our depots and customer premises for face-to-face meetings, ensuring clear communication and understanding of requirements. Collaborate closely with depot managers to align strategies and ensure seamless customer service delivery. Conduct KPIs presentation as part of scheduled meetings with customers to review performance, address concerns, and explore opportunities for growth. Liaise with depot customer service teams to ensure timely and efficient resolution of customer queries and issues. Work closely with Sales and Business Development Manager to develop strategies for account retention and expansion. Facilitate the smooth onboarding process for new customer accounts, ensuring a seamless transition and alignment with their expectations. Collaborate with our partners to meet sales targets and maintain a customer-centric focus, leveraging collaboration and opportunities for mutual growth. Utilise Excel database and other online tools to track account information, performance metrics, and sales data to inform strategic decision-making and identify areas for improvement. Essential skills required for Customer Account Manager: Proven experience in key account management, preferably in the logistics or transportation industry. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with customers and internal stakeholders. Strong strategic focus and continuous improvement experience. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities effectively. Working to deadlines. Solution driven and Flexible approach to your work. Able to work as part of a team and on own initiative. MS packages to include, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Why Gregory Distribution? Salary for Customer Account Manager between £40,000pa to £45,000pa depending on experience, PLUS car allowance. Hours of work are Monday Friday 08:30hrs 17:00hrs.
