A prestigious and well-regarded independent school in Reading is seeking a talented and enthusiastic DT Teacher to join its successful Design & Technology department as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity for a creative DT Teacher to teach motivated pupils within a well-resourced and supportive independent school environment.

The successful DT Teacher will teach Design & Technology across KS3–KS5, with the opportunity to specialise in areas such as Product Design, Resistant Materials, or Engineering depending on experience.

The Role

The school is looking for an engaging and skilled DT Teacher who can deliver high-quality, practical lessons that inspire creativity and technical understanding. The successful DT Teacher will contribute to both academic teaching and the wider co-curricular life of the department.

Responsibilities of the DT Teacher include:

* Teaching Design & Technology across KS3–KS5

* Delivering practical lessons covering design processes, materials, and manufacturing techniques

* Supporting students in developing design portfolios and coursework projects

* Encouraging innovation, problem-solving, and independent thinking

* Contributing to extracurricular clubs, competitions, and enrichment opportunities
