We're currently working with a thriving and fast-growing business based in the Bolton area to recruit a commercially focused Financial Analyst. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven finance professional to join a supportive team where your insights will directly influence business strategy and performance.
The Role:
As Financial Analyst, you'll take ownership of delivering meaningful data analysis, financial modelling, and business insights to support decision-making across the company. This role would suit someone who enjoys digging into data, spotting trends, and presenting findings to stakeholders in a clear and impactful way.
Key Responsibilities:
* Produce detailed financial and commercial analysis to support business strategy
* Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processes
* Perform variance analysis and KPI reporting across departments and product lines
* Build and maintain financial models and dashboards
* Partner with non-finance teams to provide financial insight and challenge assumptions
* Support month-end and year-end processes with relevant data and analysis
* Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements
* Contribute to ongoing improvements in reporting processes and tools
The Ideal Candidate:
* ACA, ACCA, or CIMA part or fully qualified (or QBE with relevant experience)
* Background in a similar financial analysis or commercial finance role
* Strong Excel skills (e.g. financial modelling, pivot tables, lookups)
* Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar data visualisation tools is advantageous
* Commercially aware with strong attention to detail
* Strong communicator, able to present data clearly to a non-financial audience
* Proactive, curious, and confident working independently
