The Role
My client is seeking an experienced Energy Manager to develop, implement, and monitor energy solutions that improve sustainability performance and reduce operational energy costs. This role will play a key part in supporting the organisation’s decarbonisation roadmap and delivering energy efficiency initiatives across all sites.

Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement energy efficiency initiatives aligned with my client’s net-zero commitments
* Identify, develop, and deliver energy solutions, turning ideas into actionable projects
* Prepare feasibility studies and costed business cases for energy reduction initiatives
* Monitor and verify project performance to ensure energy and cost savings are realised
* Stay ahead of best practice and emerging technologies in energy efficiency and sustainability
* Track energy consumption and emissions by site, delivering utility savings through effective planning and reporting
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legal, statutory, and technical energy requirements
* Support the development and maintenance of an environmental management system aligned to standards such as ISO 14001
* Work with internal communications teams to influence operational behaviours and promote energy efficiency
* Collaborate with maintenance and property teams to deliver continuous improvement initiatives
* Act as a key contributor within sustainability working groups, presenting initiatives and progress updates
About You
* Proven experience in energy management or a closely related discipline
* Strong knowledge of energy efficiency technologies, renewable energy, and carbon reduction strategies
* Experience conducting energy audits and feasibility studies
* Familiarity with energy legislation, compliance requirements, and best practice standards (e.g. ISO 14001)
* Strong analytical skills, with the ability to develop ROI-driven business cases
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, including influencing behavioural change
* Strong project management capability, including monitoring and verification of energy projects
