Job Description
CMDP, a Joint Venture between Costain and MWHT, have been selected by Southern Water to deliver essential infrastructure solutions for its next AMP8 investment programme. The award is for an initial seven-year term worth at least £500m to Costain, with an option to extend by up to five years.
The strategic delivery partner framework will deliver upgrades to water and wastewater assets, including treatment sites, pumping stations and reservoirs, during Asset Management Period 8 (AMP8) and beyond. Southern Water expects that its AMP8 programme, which runs from 2025 to 2030, will be the largest it has ever undertaken.
Responsibilities
* Managing all commissioning activities ensuring work and process is undertaken safely in accordance with Company Procedures, specifications, and good working practices
* Ensuring the smooth and efficient running of all commissioning activities from design through to scheme final completion
* Reporting commissioning/process/closeout activities and progress to the Area MEICA Manager
* Monitoring testing & commissioning budget
* Ensure the full process is correctly commissioned, checked, inspected and tested.
* Review and monitoring of MEICA related Project risks
* Review and monitoring of process design deliverables
* Attend commissioning systems inductions and tool box talks
* Liaise with Design Coordinator to ensure plant commissioning requirements are incorporated at design stage and included in appropriate scope of works
Qualifications
* Programme Management
* Engineering qualification or equivalent
* Process commissioning experience
* Water / Waster water or similar experience is essential
* Ability to plan, manage, and coordinate commissioning tasks within a larger project framework team
* Identify risks and control measures
* Follow health and safety and environmental legislation, regulations, and practice. For example, apply control measures, wear PPE, harness, gas detector and breathing apparatus required for the task
