Qualifications
Essential criteria
1. NMC Registered Nurse.
2. Advanced Diploma/Degree in Adult Health Nursing Studies
Desirable criteria
3. Teaching Qualification
4. Post registration courses related to the Haematology/Oncology
Experience
Essential criteria
5. Experience of caring for patients with acute and long term conditions
6. Demonstrable clinical experience
Desirable criteria
7. End of life care
Technical Skills Competencies
Essential criteria
8. Basic IT Skills
9. Demonstrate ability with vital signs monitoring equipment and ability to recognise the deteriorating patient
10. Non-IV and IV medication administration including adminisitration of blood products
11. Calculation of drug doses for infusions requiring frequent concentration.
Desirable criteria
12. Venepuncture and cannulation
13. Adminsitration of Chemotherapy
14. Awareness of Audit
Knowledge

15. Ability to demonstrate fundamental nursing knowledge and practice skills
