Are you an experienced residential care worker with a heart for children and young people?
Do you believe every child deserves a safe, nurturing, and supportive home where they can thrive?
Whether you are an established Team Leader, Senior, or Deputy with proven leadership skills or a seasoned residential worker ready to take the next step in your career we would love to hear from you.
At our home, we may be small, but our vision is powerful: to deliver the highest quality care and achieve the very best outcomes for the children and young people we support. We know this begins with the right adults caring, resilient, and committed individuals who want to grow with us.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will have experience working in children's residential homes and within challenging environments. You will be resilient, organised, and passionate about creating a nurturing environment where both young people and staff can develop.
Roles and Responsibilities
As a Team Leader, you will play an integral role in the daily life of our home, supporting both children and staff to flourish. Your responsibilities will include:
* Leading shifts with confidence, ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the home.
* Providing supervision, guidance, and role-modelling to staff, supporting their professional development and well-being.
* Organising and overseeing daily routines and activities to ensure a nurturing, structured, and positive environment for children and young people.
* Attending and contributing to professional meetings when required, building strong working relationships with key professionals (social workers, team managers, IROs).
* Maintaining compliance with Ofsted standards and the Children's Homes Regulations.
* Working collaboratively with the Home Manager and fellow Team Leaders to uphold the highest standards of care.
* Taking part in the on-call rota, including evenings and weekends, to provide additional support when needed.
* Championing a child-centred approach, ensuring every decision made puts the child's needs first.
Skills and Experience
* Level 3 or 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare (essential).
* Extensive experience in children's residential care.
* Previous experience working under the regulatory body of Ofsted.
* Strong organisational, leadership, and communication skills.
* Ability to work with resilience in challenging situations.
* Full UK Driving Licence (required).
What We Offer
We are committed to supporting our staff as much as we support our young people. In return for your dedication, we offer:
* Genuine development opportunities, including enrolment onto the Level 5 Diploma if desired.
* Company pension scheme.
* Employee discount scheme.
* Free flu jabs.
* Gym membership.
* Health & wellbeing programme.
* On-site parking.
