About The Role
We are looking for a Director of Product, API to serve as a strategic leader and 2IC (Second-in-Command) for our global API Product organization. This is a high-impact leadership role created to accelerate our European (EU) expansion and drive the next generation of Value-Add API Services, including Advanced Analytics.
Reporting directly to the VP of API Product, you will act as a regional anchor in our London office, providing senior mentorship to our Product team in UK and US, while overseeing a portfolio of API offerings. You will balance long-term strategic planning with the tactical execution required to win in the fragmented European carrier and platform landscape.

About The Team
The API Product team is the engine behind our global integration strategy. We are moving from a foundational "build" phase into a "growth and monetization" phase. This role is central to that evolution, providing a bridge between our US-based core platform and the unique requirements of the European market. You will directly manage a senior team of PMs focused on API Shipping, Carrier Onboarding, and Analytics.
What will you be doing?
Strategic 2IC Leadership: Partner with the Product VP of API to define the three-year vision and serve as the primary deputy for API organizational health and strategy.
EU Market Expansion: Lead the product motion for EU growth, identifying and prioritizing regional platform and carrier opportunities in a fragmented landscape.
Value-Add Service Innovation: Drive the roadmap for high-margin API services, including the integration of our Reporting & Insights pillar.
People Management & Mentorship: Directly manage and coach PMs, fostering a high-performance culture across time zones.
Executive Representation: Act as the face of the API product line for EU-based stakeholders, enterprise partners, and senior leadership.
Cross-Functional Coordination: Align with Sales and Partner teams to optimize the "Product-Sales motion" for enterprise funnels.
What are we looking for?
Senior Leadership Experience: 10+ years of product management or product marketing experience, with a proven track record of managing and scaling PM teams at a senior/Director level.
API & Platform Domain Expertise: Deep experience with complex API ecosystems, developer platforms, or fintech/logistics infrastructure (experience with global platforms like Intuit is a major plus).
Global/EU Market Savvy: Demonstrated success in launching or scaling products within the European market, understanding local regulatory nuances.
Strategic Commercial Mindset: Ability to link technical API roadmaps to tangible business outcomes, such as revenue growth, partner expansion, and customer retention.
Communication Excellence: A "clarity-first" communicator who can distill complex technical strategies for executive and non-technical audiences.

The Tech
While you won't need to write production code, you should be comfortable with API structures, reading documentation, and partnering closely with engineers on technical topics. Our tech stack includes REST APIs and internal tools to manage API lifecycle and usage. Proficiency in SQL and Business Intelligence tools like Looker.
