Working Supervisor
High Wycombe
£45,000 + Call-Out & Overtime
Monday to Friday (40 hours)
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established contractor delivering responsive maintenance services across secure residential estates in the South East. They are seeking an experienced Working Supervisor to join their team in High Wycombe.
This is a hands-on role, ideal for a technically strong supervisor who leads from the front and is confident working in occupied residential environments.
The Role
You will oversee a team of operatives delivering responsive maintenance works, ensuring jobs are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. Alongside supervision, you'll provide technical support, carry out quality checks, and act as the key point of contact for operational issues.
Key Responsibilities
1. Supervise day-to-day maintenance works across your patch
2. Monitor performance, productivity, and job completion standards
3. Carry out site visits, quality inspections, and assurance checks
4. Provide technical guidance and support fault diagnosis
5. Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety regulations
6. Deliver toolbox talks and maintain accurate H&S records
7. Support customer issue resolution and service delivery
8. Manage team performance, attendance, and development
9. Work closely with scheduling teams to drive efficiency
10. Participate in an on-call rota
About You
Essential:
11. SSSTS (minimum) - SMSTS desirable
12. Valid CSCS Supervisor Card
13. City & Guilds / NVQ Level 2 or 3 in a relevant trade
14. Proven experience as a Working Supervisor or Foreman
15. Background in responsive maintenance within occupied homes
16. Strong Health & Safety knowledge
17. Experience working to KPIs and service standards
18. IT literate (CAFM / job management systems)
19. Full UK Driving Licence
20. Eligible for Security Clearance
Desirable:
21. Experience in MOD, social housing, or local authority contracts
22. Multi-trade background
23. Experience in secure or highly regulated environments
Package & Benefits
24. Salary: £45,000
25. On-call allowance: £150 per week
26. Call-out fee: £35 + applicable overtime rates
27. Overtime rates:
28. Mon-Fri: x1
29. Saturday: x1.5
30. Sunday: x2
