About Jewellery & Industrial Metals
A wealth of applications. Umicore is an expert in developing products and processes based on precious metals such as gold, silver and platinum. These materials enable our customers to make fine jewelry, coins, high‑purity glass and industrial catalysts. Umicore also enables the sustainable and responsible sourcing of these metals and provides closed‑loop recycling for our customers. To make the most of these materials we cannot stand still. We need to find new ways to do things, discover new solutions and develop new processes. Which is where you come in.
What You Will Be Doing
* Research sources for developing prospective customers and for information to determine their potential
* Make cold calls to new and inactive customers
* Keep customers informed of new products/services at UPMC
* Support and respond to customer inquiries by emails or phone calls
* Expedite resolution of customer problems and complaints
* Mail out customer information booklets
* Take orders and enter orders in SAP
* Provide clear and effective proposals/quotes as necessary for current and prospective customers
* Stay informed with current markets
* Provide support to Customer Service representatives
* Record and update customer database with all activities
* Provide weekly and monthly reports to management on sales activities, figures and issues
* Assist in the preparation of marketing material and maintain company website
* Other duties as assigned
* Starting salary for this position is $66,800
Who We Are Looking For
* College diploma in business (preferably marketing, administration or similar)
* Previous Inside Sales experience
* Previous experience with CRM system, preferably SAP
* Confident in speaking with customers on the phone.
* Demonstrated aptitude for problem‑solving
* Results‑oriented
* Excellent communication skills
* Excellent research skills
* Motivated Individual
* Advanced computer skills (SAP experience a strong asset)
* Bilingual (English/French and asset)
