Salary: From £32,397 to £34,640 OTE plus overtime

Role Overview
You will be part of a dedicated team working to ensure high standards of care and support, contributing to the development of our service. Note: This role involves completing 14-hour shifts followed by a 10-hour sleepover.
Our residents are children and young people from diverse backgrounds who have experienced trauma, requiring specialist therapeutic support in a small residential setting. Success in this role requires compassion, patience, and a therapeutic approach to care.
This is a full-time position with flexible hours; inquiries about different hours can be made via email.

Candidate Requirements
* Experience in residential children’s care
* SVQ 3 and HNC in social care or equivalent
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection
* Willingness to work shifts, including sleepovers and weekends
* Full UK manual driving licence and confident driving skills
* Understanding of child and young people’s behaviors and intervention strategies
* Awareness of relevant legislation
* Willingness to undertake training in crisis and physical intervention
Responsibilities
* Provide care and support in line with policies, demonstrating a team-oriented approach
* Assist with assessments and support plans for young people
* Maintain accurate records and participate in meetings
* Work within a shift system, including sleepovers
* Conduct safety checks and participate in ongoing training
* Implement de-escalation and crisis intervention strategies as trained
* Promote participation, boundaries, and routines for young people
* Adhere to the SSSC code of conduct and safeguarding procedures
* Maintain a safe, hygienic environment
