Job Title: Datasphere Specialist - SAP/SAC
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Datasphere Specialist with expertise in SAP/SAC to join our team on a 3-6 month hybrid contract based in Coventry. This role involves designing, developing, and operating SAP data cloud platforms, ensuring systems are scalable, reliable, and secure to support business functions.
Responsibilities
1. Engage with and provide solutions using SAP data platforms such as SAP Datasphere, SAP Business Data Cloud, SAP Analytics Cloud, SLT Replication Server, and BW4HANA.
2. Implement data integration solutions across a range of SAP and non-SAP technologies.
3. Participate in the administration and operational activities related to our data platform.
4. Contribute to the development of organisational policies, standards, and guidelines for data platforms.
5. Understand business processes, select optimal approaches, assess their effectiveness, and evaluate their relevance for data modelling and data governance.
6. Introduce appropriate controls within processes to ensure data handling aligns with company policies regarding privacy, data retention, and security.
7. Monitor adherence to data standards and architectures, including aspects of security and compliance.
8. Gather stakeholder input, offer constructive feedback, and help prioritise requirements effectively.
9. Keep informed about new technologies, industry developments, and best practices in SAP Data Management, Data Engineering, and Cloud Data Solutions.
10. Create data connections in SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud, and other platforms, administering and operating the Data Platform.
11. Lead data preparation, integration, and management tasks in BDC/Datasphere.
12. Implement and design best practices for security concepts essential for cloud-native applications.
13. Work with cross-functional teams to develop secure, scalable, and cost-effective data architectures.
14. Utilise monitoring, logging, and alerting tools to improve system reliability and performance.
15. Manage SAP releases and maintenance Change Approval Board and Service Management guidelines.
16. Promote automation to streamline processes and boost productivity.
Essential Skills
17. Proficiency in Datasphere, SAP, SAC, BDC.
18. Experience in data integration, implementation, and design.
19. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
