Senior Care Assistant role at Bupa – Alveston Leys Care Home, Kissing Tree Lane, Stratford-upon-Avon, CV37 7QN. Permanent contract with alternate weekends. Days and Night shifts available. Salary: £12.75 - £14.34 per hour plus excellent Bupa Benefits.

Your role as a Senior Care Assistant is to lead a team of Care Assistants who deliver high quality, personal care to residents, while inspiring, developing and mentoring colleagues to perform at their best daily. You will work closely with the Nurse to support clinical duties and run a unit in a close-knit team.
You’ll be motivated, positive, have strong interpersonal skills, and a passion for making a real difference in residents’ lives through kindness, personalised support and dignity.
You’ll have completed / be working towards an NVQ3 in care. We’re happy to support you to complete your qualification if needed. You should have previous experience in the role and knowledge of its rewards and challenges.
We’ll train you on our new digital care system, and as healthcare experts for over 75 years, we’re committed to ongoing training in social care developments to help you do your job effectively.
You’ll Help Us Make Health Happen By
* Day-to-day responsibility for running a unit
* Supporting with clinical duties, including assisting the nurse to observe, issue medication, review care plans and accurate record keeping
* Driving and managing a team of Care Assistants, including responsibility for all shift handovers
* Training and supervision of new staff to help them feel welcomed and supported
* Building relationships with residents, their families and external teams such as GPs and District Nurses
* Assisting residents with a range of personal care duties
