Person specification
Qualifications/training and professional development
Essential criteria
* BSc in Audiology or equivalent qualifications
* Evidence of ongoing CPD
* To undertake ongoing CPD to ensure clinical skills are maintained
* To keep up to date with clinical and IT developments within the department to ensure standards of service are maintained and enhanced
* To keep abreast of national and international developments in Audiology by reading scientific literature and attending scientific meetings.
Desirable criteria
* Registered with appropriate registration body (AHCS or HCPC)
Experience
Essential criteria
* Significant experience as a Band 5 in Audiology is required.
* Significant post-qualification audiology experience
* IT skills; experience in database operation and the use of spreadsheets
Skills, abilities, and knowledge
Essential criteria
* Knowledge of recent clinical and service developments within Audiology
* Knowledge of Audiology IT systems including NOAH, hearing aid programming software and patient management systems
* Excellent communication and patient handling skills
Desirable criteria
* Sign Language skills
* Personnel handling skills
* Teaching and training skills
