What to expect

An exciting opportunity has arisen in our core platforms function, to join the team as an IT Service Manager focusing on our Back Office Cloud Platforms Systems. You will be key in ensuring the stability and delivery of the Services as Post Office takes advantage of modern technologies to deliver an efficient, fit-for-purpose and cost-effective service.



Within this role you will be responsible for the overall management of the Back office IT Cloud Platform service delivery, ensuring robust service availability levels, performance, and process maturity, working closely with the key third-party providers. The Services includes management of Cloud based applications built on Azure, AWS, Service-Now, Google Cloud and other native SaaS platforms.

What you’ll need to succeed

As an experienced IT Service Manager, who will play a critical role in our Back office team you will possess the following:
• Experience in managing Retail and Regulatory Back-office SaaS applications
• Extensive experience in consulting and/or solution architecture in Cloud Data and Analytics applications, Middleware and integration in a retail environment.
• Excellent people management skills and ability to converse effectively at all levels of the business.
• ITIL processes and IT service Management processes
• Demonstrates customer first thinking and behavior
• Can demonstrate experience across a wide range of internal business functions.
• Understand the process to manage risk
• Role models continuous improvement
• Has a proven track record proving effective teamwork and role-models the team ethic.
• Understands the value-add to the customer and external partners/clients.
• Ability to deliver the services consumed within the agreed contract – 3rd party management expected
• Consulting or solution architecture skills in Cloud technologies and SaaS products like Azure, AWS, GCP, Service now, Jira-Confluence, SQL, Middleware, and integration is highly desirable.
