We’re building the future of crowdsourced journalism—mobile-first, multilingual, and mission-driven. As we expand, we’re seeking a bilingual Communications Manager (Arabic/English) to help shape our global voice and lead strategic storytelling across platforms.
What You’ll Do Strategic Communications
Develop and execute bilingual communication strategies for Arabic and English-speaking audiences
Shape brand messaging and media narratives that differentiate myScoop in the global news ecosystem
Conduct communication audits and market research to align messaging with trends
Media Relations & Public Engagement
Build relationships with journalists, editors, and broadcasters across MENA and UK markets
Coordinate press briefings, interviews, and public statements
Represent MYSCOOP at conferences, panels, and media events
Content Creation & Campaigns
Write press releases, blog posts, media kits, and executive speeches
Collaborate with designers and videographers to produce multimedia campaigns
Launch digital PR and social media initiatives to grow brand awareness
Analytics & Optimization
Use tools like Google Analytics, SEMrush, and Meltwater to track campaign performance
Monitor SEO, sentiment analysis, and share-of-voice metrics
Report on KPIs and refine strategies based on data insights
Stakeholder Engagement
Partner with journalism schools, NGOs, and digital platforms to promote ethical storytelling
Support internal communications and mentor junior team members
Facilitate media training for internal spokespeople
What We’re Looking For Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, PR, or related field
Native or near-native Arabic fluency with excellent English proficiency
Experience
2–4 years in PR, media relations, or strategic communications
Familiarity with MENA and UK media landscapes
Strong writing portfolio (press releases, articles, or campaign content)
Tools & Skills
Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Hootsuite, WordPress
Project management tools (Asana, Trello, Notion)
Google Workspace or Microsoft 365
