Salary: £12.69 - £13.31 per hour (dependent on experience) plus £30 per sleep-in

We are looking for enthusiastic residential care workers to join our team, building strong relationships and fostering a warm, supportive, and rewarding environment for the children and young people in our care.
No two days are the same in this dynamic role. You will plan engaging activities, provide one-on-one support, and accompany young people on off-site trips. You will need to be adaptable, flexible, and skilled at reading situations to help guide young people toward positive choices.
Experience is preferred but not required. A positive, can-do attitude and a passion for making a real difference to the lives of children and young people are what we value most.
We offer a full two weeks of paid training before starting and an overtime rate of 1.25x. Shift patterns are 2–3 shifts per week on a full-time basis with 4 weeks’ rota in advance. Sleep-ins are mandatory.
Key Responsibilities Include
* Providing emotional support during challenging times
* Fostering ambition in young people and helping them achieve their goals
* Supporting the educational pursuits of young individuals
* Maintaining accurate records and preparing written reports for planning meetings
* Empowering young people to participate in decision-making
* Acting as an advocate in meetings where the young person is discussed
* Encouraging community engagement and attending off-site activities
* Meeting the needs of children and young people, organising social activities, and maintaining the home (laundry, cooking, cleaning, shopping, etc.)
Qualifications / Experience / Requirements
* Minimum age requirement: 21 years old
* Full UK driving license preferable but not essential
* No prior experience required; commitment and passion for working with young people are essential
* Must have availability for sleep-in shifts
