Civils Sales Manager - Ballymena - Permanent
Are you a dynamic, results-driven sales professional with a strong background in civil engineering or construction? A leading manufacturer in the construction materials sector is seeking a Civil Sales Manager to drive commercial growth, lead high-performing sales teams and manage tendering activities across a broad range of civil engineering projects.
This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially focused individual to play a key role in the company’s long-term success and market expansion.
About the role:
1. Up to £50,000 per annum
2. Monday to Friday
3. 30 days annual leave (including statutory holidays)

What you'll be doing in this role:
9. Lead the civil sales function, delivering on revenue targets and profitability goals
10. Manage the full tender process including pricing, estimating, and bid submissions
11. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and key stakeholders
12. Identify and develop new business opportunities within civil engineering and construction sectors
13. Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams (planning, logistics, technical) to ensure delivery accuracy and client satisfaction
14. Lead and develop the sales team, aligning performance with company vision and KPIs
15. Provide regular reporting on sales performance, pipeline, market trends, and forecasts
16. Support business development through strategic planning and market analysis
17. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies
18. Deputise for the Head of Sales & Marketing when required
What you'll need for the role:
19. Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent experience)
20. Proven experience in sales estimating and commercial leadership within construction or civil engineering
21. Strong ability to read and interpret technical/construction drawings and bar schedules
22. Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD
23. Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
24. Strong leadership capabilities with experience managing and motivating teams
25. Highly organised, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities under pressure
26. A strong commercial mindset with a passion for the civil engineering sector
