A market leader in the Aviation Industry is seeking an Accounts Assistant position, ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail and a solid understanding of accounting processes. Based near Woodstock, Oxfordshire, and reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the finance team.

Description
The Accounts Assistants responsibilities are as follows:
Processing high volumes of multi-currency supplier invoices.
Ensuring that operational supplier payments are linked to customer billing.
Maintaining the Claims Process for a large parts supplier.
Preparing weekly payment runs.
Managing the Accounts Payable inbox.
Processing and distributing incoming invoices, maintaining an accurate invoice register.
Accurately inputting supplier invoices, non-purchase order nominal invoices, and expense claims onto the finance system.
Assist with customer invoicing.
Reconcile accounts payable transactions to maintain accuracy.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to invoices and payments.
Maintain accurate and organised financial records.
Assist in month-end closing activities and reporting.
Ensuring the correct procedure for the procurement of Fixed Assets is followed.
Communicate with staff and suppliers to address queries and payment concerns.
Support the finance team with ad hoc administrative tasks as needed.
The successful Accounts Assistant will:
At least three years' experience within an accounting and finance role, particularly in accounts payable.
Proficiency in accounting software and solid MS Excel skills
Have excellent reconciliation skills.
A strong understanding of financial systems and processes.
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
The ability to handle queries and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
A positive attitude towards teamwork and deadlines.
Previous experience in the aviation industry would be ideal but not necessary.
