Patient Care Assistant
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Patient Care Assistant to join our team at Charter Vets!
Full time, 40 hours per week including weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis. The role will be split across our 3 sites – Roundswell, Pilton and Mullacott – so transport is essential.
Role Responsibilities
As a PCA you will support our RVNs and vets to provide outstanding care to our patients. Tasks include animal handling, assisting with restraining animals, cleaning, walking, feeding, general cleaning and maintenance duties, answering phone calls, reception cover, greeting clients and delivering the highest standards of animal and customer care.
What We're Looking For
* Excellent communicator with strong empathy
* Excellent customer service skills and experience dealing with the public
* Experience in animal welfare, including feeding, cleaning, medicating and handling and a high level of understanding of how to meet the welfare needs of animals
* Resilient with the ability to cope with potentially distressing and emotional situations
* A positive attitude and excellent teamwork skills
* Experience in looking after animals in a veterinary environment desirable
Benefits
Salary will be in line with the UK National Minimum Wage £20,800 – £25,396.
