We have a great opportunity available to join Novus Cambria, our prison education provider at HMP Berwyn, working as an Essential Skills Numeracy Tutor. This role is offered on a permanent, full-time basis, working 37 hours per week.

HMP Prison Berwyn is a Category C prison in Wrexham County Borough, Wales. It accommodates a male population. It is the largest prison in the UK, opened in 2017, and is operated by His Majesty's Prison Service. The prisons aim is to create an environment in which staff and prisoners feel safe at all times. The prison's mission is to provide a secure, safe, and rehabilitative environment that encourages positive change and prepares inmates for a successful reintegration into society

Skills, Qualifications and Experience
To be successful in this role, you will need to have/demonstrate:
* A degree or equivalent subject specialist qualification
* A teaching qualification - minimum Cert Ed, PGCE or equivalent
* QTS / QTLS (Desirable, but not essential)
* Minimum level 2 qualifications in Literacy and Numeracy
* Experience delivering Functional Maths, Basic Skills, Key Skills and/or Essential Skills Application of Number
* Experience producing accurate and timely reports
* Experience creating a positive contribution to establishment planning & development processes
* An ability to fulfil delivery targets and plans
* A good track record of achieving quality targets, including those related to learner achievement, inclusion, progression and destination
* Positive team working
* A good track record of achieving 'Good' or above in Teaching Observations
