Compensation and Working Hours
Salary: Band B (NJC 3) – Actual Salary: £2,821. Contract: Permanent, term time only. Hours: 5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 12:00‑1:00pm. Start Date: 2nd September 2026. Closing Date: Friday 8th May 2026 at 9am.
Overview
We are looking for a friendly, flexible and caring person to join our school, organising and supervising play for our pupils on the school premises at lunchtime.
Responsibilities
* Organise games and activities to support pupils indoor and outdoor play.
* Interact with pupils to ensure a calm and purposeful playtime.
* Set up and clear the dining hall.
* Supervise pupils in the dining hall.
* Work alongside the kitchen staff.
* Promote positive play and maintain a calm and purposeful playtime.
Qualities and Experience
* Be proactive at promoting positive play.
* Have a passion for children’s learning and be committed to the safeguarding of all children.
* Be professional and hard working.
* Have good verbal communication skills to liaise with children and other staff members.
* Have a ‘can do’ mentality and be able to embrace change.
