Job Title: Disrepair SurveyorType: ContractLocation: BristolSalary: £27.88 paye per hour ( + £3.38 holiday pay)Hours: Full Time BRC are working closely with a large public-sector housing provider to recruit an experienced Disrepair Surveyor to support the management of housing condition claims and disrepair case. This role involves managing disrepair claims from end to end, carrying out detailed inspections, specifying and overseeing remedial works, and working closely with legal services to resolve cases efficiently while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. Duties: Carry out condition and disrepair inspections of residential propertiesDiagnose defects and specify appropriate remedial worksProject manage disrepair cases from initial inspection through to completionMonitor and supervise contractors and in-house trade teams to ensure works are delivered on time, within budget and to a high standardProduce detailed technical reports, schedules of works and witness statements for legal purposesAct as a professional witness in disrepair casesLiaise with tenants, legal services, contractors and internal stakeholders, ensuring clear and consistent communicationManage compensation assessments in line with Housing Ombudsman guidanceMaintain accurate records using internal case management systemsEnsure compliance with health & safety legislation and relevant regulations Requirements: Proven experience working as a Surveyor within housing disrepair or repairs & maintenanceStrong knowledge of housing condition claims and disrepair processesExperience producing technical reports and specificationsAbility to manage multiple cases simultaneously and work to deadlinesStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsKnowledge of health & safety regulationsAbility to manage own diary and workload effectively For more information, please call Meg Smith on or.
