They are currently experiencing exciting growth plans with work orders and projects growing at a rapid rate, the company are looking to recruit a Stores Supervisor to manage a multi:disciplined team. The business supply their products worldwide with global reputable brand names and are currently going through A huge growth period which would make it an excellent time to be a part of this company.
Role and Responsibilities:
* Supervise and support the Stores team in day:to:day operations, including checking products against drawings, putting away stock correctly, and picking accurate products and quantities for jobs.
* Act as the first point of contact for Stores staff, allocating tasks, monitoring progress, and providing guidance and training where required.
* Assist the Stores Manager in stock control activities including stock taking, replenishment, labelling, and paperwork.
* Maintain an organised and safe warehouse environment, ensuring adherence to health and safety standards and promoting good housekeeping.
* Liaise with other departments to ensure stock is available to meet production and project requirements.
* Escalate significant stock discrepancies, supply issues, or process concerns to the Stores Manager, recommending improvements where appropriate.
* Take responsibility for ensuring the stores area and related facilities are always clean, safe, and presentable.
* Support the Stores Manager in driving efficiency, accuracy, and continuous improvement within the team.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
* Previous experience in a stores/warehouse role is essential, with some supervisory or team leader experience preferred.
* Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to lead by example in a hands:on role.
* Confident working on own initiative and making day:to:day decisions, while knowing when to escalate to the Stores Manager.
* Reach Forklift operator certification/licence is required; Counterbalance licence is an advantage.
* Full clean driving licence required.
* Committed to safe systems of work and maintaining high standards of health and safety.
