Overview

JOB TITLE: Head Therapist (Beauty)

RESPONSIBLE TO: Club GM, & Stephanie Perella Spa Impact Manager

JOB PURPOSE:

To understand, promote and realise Reynolds Fitness Spa core values and mission statement. To manage your staff team with integrity. To follow and comply with all company procedures. To motivate and train your team to excel in their roles. To demonstrate and ensure high levels of customer service throughout your team. To demonstrate and ensure high levels of expertise in your field. To strive to achieve targets where required from yourself and your team.


Responsibilities

Job role and responsibilities:

It should be noted that the following list of principle duties and responsibilities are not necessarily a complete statement of the final duties of the post. Such duties may vary from time to time without changing the general character of the duties or the level of responsibilities entailed.


Staff

* 1. Arrange and carry out along with line manager interviews for new staff where required following company procedures.
* 2. Ensure all new staff are fully inducted into the company
* 3. Ensure all new staff have been officially observed in their role by yourself and paperwork completed.
* 4. Carry out, as and when you or your line manager feels it necessary (but annually as a minimum) an observation report on any members of your team.
* 5. Provide training to new and existing staff of all procedures required to carry out their role.
* 6. Inform line manager of any additional training required
* 7. Complete a strength and weaknesses analysis of your staff biannually and report to line manager.
* 8. Arrange Senior Spa team meetings monthly and ensure all team members are present and actions set during these meetings are completed.
* 9. Liaise with line manager any changes required to rotas, taking into consideration staff ability levels and experience ensuring no new staff are on shift without an experienced staff member.
* 10. Record all staff holidays and rota adequate and suitable staff cover


Health and Safety

* 1. Ensure you fully understand all H&S requirements required of your role and can complete the duties required of your role.
* 2. Ensure H&S procedures are carried out and required paperwork completed by yourself and your team, these include:
* i. Daily club walks and checklists where appropriate
* ii. Call point and emergency light tests
* iii. Panic button tests
* iv. Biannual fire evacuation drills (in coordination with all other departments)
* v. Kitchen tests and paperwork
* vi. Pool test and paperwork


General

* 1. Ensure all reports and required paperwork is completed in a timely fashion.
* 2. Maintenance issues are reported within one hour of identification to area Maintenance manager and Area GM, prioritising customer facing urgent and non urgent via email initially as well as the appropriate request form.
* 3. Monitor and report to GM any data required in relation to your area, this may include but it not limited to:
* Staff productivity
* Free vouchers use within your area (PT & Nutrition or Treat and tone)
* Success of member retention initiatives and promotion
* Sales figures, joiners, tours booked, cancelations, retail etc.
* Stock held, required, on order
* 4. Ensure that all complaints received by you or any member of your team are recorded and immediately passed to the Beauty Manager/GM with recommendation of resolution where possible.
* 5. Ensure the cleanliness of your area of responsibility e.g. beauty rooms, fitness gym, pool etc.
* 6. To show an awareness of budgets in your area, and suggest improvements if appropriate
* 7. To be motivated and to motivate your team to achieve all targets set for your area of responsibility.


Marketing and Promotions

* 1. Ensure you and your team understand and implement all promotions, sales initiatives and retention promotions within the club.
* 2. Provide to GM every quarter new member motivation ideas, and feedback on current ideas in place.
* 3. Ensure that all notice / black boards within your areas are maintained and updated with the latest information, stories, promotions, availability etc.
* 4. Provide articles and social media feed to GM from yourself and your team. (Newsletter, editorials, Facebook, twitter, etc.)
