Role Purpose:

As a warehouse supervisor for a beverage production facility, you will oversee a team of material handlers to assist with the movement of finished goods, raw materials, packaging, chemicals, barrels, equipment and other items to assist with maximizing the efficiency of the operation. This includes organization of warehouse racking and floor, inventory control, supervising and coaching warehouse staff, ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment, maintaining high safety standards, and initiating and implementing process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and productivity.

Accountabilities & Impact:

* Schedule, assign work to maximize productivity of forklift / reach-truck operators and material handlers
* Manage the movements of finished goods from production to the warehouse, to outbound trucks, ensuring adherence to FIFO
* Responsible for receiving packaging materials & ingredients from inbound trucks, receiving them into the WMS, labeling them, put away in the warehouse.
* Responsible for the organization of all materials (including packaging, ingredients, chemicals, dunnage) in both the production building and the warehouse building in accordance with the HACCP and safety policies.
* Responsible for actively clearing space from the production floor, by initiating and directing the removal of dunnage or obsolete materials.
* Responsible for inventory accuracy of the warehouse, ensuring correct SKUs in bin locations, and correct quantities that match WMS by conducting regular cycle counts.
* Ensuring staff are following material handling SOPs in operating handling equipment (forklift, pallet jacks, ladders) stacking of pallets, truck loading patterns, etc.
* Conduct 5S and value stream mapping to continuously improve the flow.
* Ensure that ad hoc transfers of miscellaneous goods between buildings / departments are done and transacted in WMS
* Observe work performance of Team Members and ensure work is performed in accordance with standard operating procedures
* To provide coaching for warehouse team members and follow up with corrective actions
* To conduct crew talks with assertiveness with the warehouse team
* To regularly post and provide updated KPI, recognition and company policy communications with the warehouse team utilizing notification boards (cork or white boards)
* Fostering the recognition of staff members and assisting warehouse team with developing their skills.
* If qualified, to provide forklift, pallet jack training to staff
* Use WMS to process inbound purchase orders, inventory movements, and other related functions
* To communicate with the purchasing team and other front-office teams via MS Teams, email, phone, and in person when required
* To assist using handling equipment (Forklift and hand/electric pallet jack) in the warehouse to move finished goods, packaging, raw materials or equipment
* Report safety incidents and assist with incident investigations
* Monitor the housekeeping, security, and safety standards on a regular basis
* To assist with the loading or unloading of trailers/trucks when necessary
* Put away pallets of finished goods into the appropriate bin locations of the warehouse racking
* Manage the traffic in the yard, direct truck drivers to the proper loading doors and work with maintenance team in controlling the onsite contractor truck or equipment movement to ensure safety and operational efficiency
* Arrange the removal of excess dunnage, empty IBC totes, drums, wood/plastic pallets from the yard
* Arrange the disposal of packaging materials (empty cans, lids, cartons, corrugated materials)
* Other duties as required

Skills & Experiences Needed:

* Minimum 3 years of experience in a supervisory capacity in a production facility or a warehouse environment, preferably with experience in beverage or other consumer-packaged goods.
* Proficiency in scan guns, MS office, ERP (SAP or QAD)
* Exceptional communication and organization skills
* Valid forklift licenses (sit down, ride on high reach) and Class 5 driving license
* Operations/Supply Chain diploma/degree or equivalent practical experience.
