Overview
The Renal Dialysis Unit is a purpose built unit with 55 dialysis stations providing chronic haemodialysis and acute treatments including hemodiafiltration and plasma exchange. This is a rewarding role working closely with patients to ensure they obtain optimal care in the haemodialysis setting.
Responsibilities
* Preparing and programming dialysis machines and related equipment for dialysis sessions.
* Assisting nurses with caring for a team of patients while on dialysis.
* Working alongside nurses to provide dialysis care and ensuring the needs of complex chronic patients are met.
* Demonstrating a flexible approach within the working environment and a willingness to develop clinical skills.
* Covering shifts from Monday to Saturday (06:30 to 00:30) over 4 days per week.
* Receiving ongoing support from a mentor and Clinical Facilitators until competent to work unsupervised.
* Ensuring reliable attendance and timekeeping.
Qualifications
* Experience is not essential.
* Ability to demonstrate a flexible approach and willingness to develop clinical skills.
