Are you a confident and adaptable Cover Supervisor looking for a rewarding opportunity in a school setting? GSL Education are seeking a reliable Cover Supervisor to work in a welcoming school located in Nottinghamshire (NG12).
As a Cover Supervisor (CS), you will play a key role in maintaining continuity of learning by supervising classes during teacher absences. This role is ideal for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced school support staff who enjoy working with young people and managing a classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise whole classes across various subjects in the absence of the class teacher.
* Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and ensure pupils remain on task.
* Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
* Support pupils with their learning and encourage engagement.
* Maintain a safe, calm, and positive learning environment.
* Report any issues or progress back to teaching staff.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Experience working with children or young people (school-based experience desirable).
* Strong classroom management and communication skills.
* Confidence in leading a classroom independently.
* A proactive, flexible, and professional approach.
* A genuine interest in education and pupil development.
* An enhanced DBS registered on the update service or willingness to apply through GSL Education.
