Job Overview
Band 6 Deputy Unit Manager to join the Gynaecology Outpatients Team in Wrexham Maelor Hospital on a part‑time basis. The role involves managing a busy outpatients department, running procedure clinics such as Outpatient Hysteroscopy, Colposcopy, and Urogynae clinics.
Main Duties
The Deputy Unit Manager will manage clinic staffing, support clinics as required, coordinate rosters, annual leave entitlements and staff allocation with the Department Manager, and work closely with the operational team. The role ensures smooth running of all clinics daily, ensuring correct staffing levels and skill mix for varying clinics, including procedure clinics.
Qualifications
* Registered Nurse
* Commitment to undertake a management course/further study
Essential Experience
* Gynaecology experience
* Evidence of ongoing professional development
Desirable Experience
* Management qualification or experience
* Mentor teaching and assessing course or equivalent
Language
Proficiency in Welsh is desirable; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome.
