Overview
This is an exciting opportunity to join JCT600 Audi Lincoln as an Accounts Administration Apprentice. This role supports all areas of finance, in particular the purchase ledger and cashier. You will be responsible for the processing of sales and the payment of all purchase invoices, as well as the reconciliation of all supplier statements. You will ensure that all paperwork and documentation is processed speedily and efficiently, so you will need excellent accuracy and attention to detail skills. Full training will be provided to ensure that the successful candidate will understand accounting information such as invoices, credit notes, payment methods, receipts and payment advice and knowledge and understanding of VAT.
Responsibilities
* Processes purchase invoices in an accurate and timely manner
* Assists with preparing purchase invoice payment runs as required
* Processing daily cash banking for 12 centres to applicable sales ledger accounts
* Processing daily manufacturer bank statements (coding transactions to applicable sales and purchase ledger accounts)
* Processing of the daily bank statement
* Processing of payment requests (checking data received/setting up with the bank for authorisation)
* Processing credit card refunds
* Produces accurate records and documents including emails, letters, files, payments, reports and proposals
* Makes recommendations for improvements and presents solutions to management; drafts correspondence and writes reports
* Maintains records and files, handles confidential information in compliance with procedures; coaches others in required processes
* Exercises proactivity and good judgement; makes effective decisions and seeks advice when appropriate
* Builds and maintains positive relationships within the team and across the organisation
* Demonstrates good communication skills across channels and represents the organisation
* Completes tasks to a high standard and continuously improves processes; shares administrative best-practice
* Takes responsibility for initiating and completing tasks, manages priorities and deadlines; organises meetings and events
* Uses project management principles to scope, plan, monitor and report; leads projects when required
Training & Apprenticeship Details
Training schedule: Business Administrator Level 3 Apprenticeship. This apprenticeship is delivered through work based learning; training is done at the workplace. A tutor will visit on site every 4-6 weeks to deliver training and provide resources to complete work between visits. Further induction training will be supplied by the Retailer. You will also receive visits and other training from the Learning Skills Partnership representative.
From April 2025, rates are: £12.21 (aged 21 and over) £10 (aged 18 to 20) £7.55 (aged under 18) £7.55 (apprentice rate).
