Role: Senior Support Worker

Location: Rowan Court, Holmfirth

Salary: £14.31/hr plus great benefits and enhanced rates of pay for overtime and bank holidays

Hours: 37.5hrs


Please note this role does require you to have experience in leading a team within a social care setting, but additional training will be provided for the successful candidate.

Ideally located for people living in Meltham, Honley, and Huddersfield, and with great public transport links, Rowan Court is a vibrant 15-bed residential service for adults with profound and multiple learning disabilities and complex needs. The service is lively, vibrant, and welcoming, and the staff team are supportive and always happy to share their knowledge and experience to ensure our adults get the best possible care.


Each of the three floors has its own personality, suited to meet the needs of the adults we care for, but day to day duties will include:

* Supporting with meals and drinks, and to help them to get excited about being involved in cooking and baking!
* Helping with their personal care, including bathing and showering, so they look and feel great.
* Building a relationship with the adults and their families, so that you can provide truly person-centred, individualised care.


Our goal is to ensure the people we support live as independently as possible and have access to community activities. As a staff team we often say "today has to be the best day of their lives!".

All training and support is provided as well as a learning packed induction period.


As a Senior Support Worker at Rowan Court, your role will be as varied as the adults we care for, but day to day duties will include:

* Supervising our dedicated team of Support Workers
* Promoting person-centered, high quality care
* Conducting supervisions and one to ones with staff
* Auditing, updating, and reviewing documentation including care plans
* Administering and auditing medication(s)

Hollybank Trust is committed to Safeguarding vulnerable people, and our Safer Recruitment process requires all employees to have an Enhanced DBS check and reference checks in line with our Recruitment policy. Hollybank will pay for the DBS check. If the candidate leaves voluntarily in their first 12 months, £58.50 will be deducted from their final salary payment.
