About North Lakes:

As a Residential Support Worker, you’ll be a positive role model—supportive, approachable, and committed to making a real difference in each young person’s life.
Main Duties
12. Follow daily shift plans, handovers, and routines (term‑time and holidays).
13. Support boys with morning/evening routines, personal care, meals, school runs, activities, and bedtime.
14. Promote life skills, independence, room cleaning, and social development.
15. Attend appointments and support planned activities and daily targets.
16. Complete daily paperwork, handovers, budgeting tasks, and household checks.
17. Carry out cleaning, laundry, shopping, and meal preparation duties.
18. Complete safety checks (COSHH, fire, vehicle) as required.
19. Build positive relationships with families and help organise family time and special occasions.
20. Act as a Keyworker, offering warmth, empathy, and extra support to create meaningful experiences.
About You:
21. Flexibility to work ‑hour shifts ( on / off) with rotating start times (:, :, :), including sleep‑ins
22. Understanding of the challenges faced by young people in care
23. Level Residential Childcare (or equivalent) or willingness to work towards it
24. Excellent communication and listening skills
25. Willingness to learn and work effectively within a small team
26. Ability to pass an enhanced DBS check (paid for by the organisation)
27. Experience in EBD, social care, residential work, or youth work (advantageous)
28. Full, clean UK driving licence and ability to cover other homes when needed
