Job Description
We are looking for a dynamic and motivated person to join our Insolvent Investigation team in the North as a trainee Level 3/HEO investigators, based in Manchester, Leeds, or Edinburgh.
In Insolvent Investigation North, we conduct civil investigations into the conduct of company directors in liquidation, administration, or dissolved companies, to establish whether disqualification proceedings are in the public interest.
Responsibilities
* Communicating effectively with stakeholders including accountants, directors, and creditors.
* Using intelligence tools to locate and contact directors.
* Conducting interviews, challenging assertions, and obtaining written statements.
* Analyzing financial and legal documents to identify misconduct.
* Drafting reports, affidavits, and court applications.
* Attending court as a witness or in a supporting role.
* Maintaining accurate case records and staying updated on legislation.
Person Specification
The ideal candidate will have attributes such as inquisitiveness, confidence, focus, accountability, and strong communication skills. Essential skills include attention to detail, decisiveness, calmness under pressure, analytical ability, report-writing skills, and relationship-building capabilities.
Minimum Criteria
You must be committed to completing the Investigator Programme within 2 years, be flexible with travel and overnight stays, and work at least 21.5 hours/week.
