Service Manager
1. Location: Deeside
2. Salary: Up to £50,000 DOE + Bonus/Incentive Scheme
3. Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent
4. Hours: Monday – Friday, 08:30 – 17:00 (occasional weekend work during peak season)
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Service Manager to lead the aftersales and PDI operations at a busy automotive dealership in Deeside. This is a fantastic opportunity for a strong leader with a passion for customer satisfaction, technical excellence, and team development.
Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the service department, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, technical quality, and workshop efficiency. You will lead a team of technicians and service staff, handle scheduling and quality control, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
5. Manage and supervise all aspects of the service department
6. Lead and support a team of technicians, maintaining productivity, training, and performance standards
7. Oversee all service bookings, including repairs, maintenance, habitation checks, and warranty work
8. Ensure all work is completed efficiently, on time, and to a high quality
9. Manage parts inventory and supplier relationships to ensure timely availability of required items
10. Maintain compliance with health & safety regulations and quality assurance procedures
11. Provide hands-on technical support and diagnostics when required
12. Maintain a clean, well-organised, and customer-friendly workshop environment
13. Assist with budgeting, cost management, and identifying operational improvements
Requirements:
14. Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role within a service or workshop environment
15. Previous experience in the motorhome or caravan industry is an advantage but not essential
16. Familiarity with habitation checks, gas safety, electrical systems (12V/240V), water systems, and chassis servicing
17. Excellent leadership and team management skills
18. Strong technical, diagnostic, and problem-solving abilities
19. High levels of organisation and time management
20. Customer-focused with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
21. IT literate, with experience using service systems and Microsoft Office
22. Capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
