Job Title: Construction Planner Location: Northern Ireland Salary: £50,000 (depending on experience) Role Overview The Construction Planner will play a key role in developing, managing and monitoring project programmes across multiple faade and construction projects. Working closely with project managers, site teams and main contractors, the planner will ensure programmes are realistic, regularly updated and aligned with project delivery requirements. The role will involve programme development, progress reporting and delay analysis, ensuring projects remain on schedule and potential risks are identified early. Key Responsibilities Programme Development Develop detailed construction programmes for projects from pre-construction through to completion. Prepare and maintain baseline programmes using planning software such as Asta Powerproject or Primavera P6. Work closely with project teams to ensure programmes reflect realistic construction sequencing and resource planning. Programme Monitoring & Reporting Monitor project progress against programme milestones and identify potential delays or risks. Produce regular progress updates, reports and programme revisions. Provide delay analysis and recovery plans where required. Project Coordination Liaise with project managers, site teams and subcontractors to gather accurate progress information. Coordinate planning information with main contractors and consultants to ensure alignment with overall project programmes. Attend project meetings and provide programme updates and planning support. Risk & Delay Management Identify potential programme risks and propose mitigation strategies. Support project teams with programme adjustments and recovery planning when delays occur. Ensure planning information supports effective project decision-making and delivery. Requirements / Skills Previous experience working as a Construction Planner or Planning Engineer within the construction industry. Experience working for a contractor or specialist subcontractor (faade experience advantageous but not essential). Strong working knowledge of Asta Powerproject and/or Primavera P6. (Essential) Proven ability in programme development, progress tracking and delay analysis. Comfortable liaising with main contractors, project teams and site staff. Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills. Ability to manage programmes across multiple live projects. Location & Travel Based in Northern Ireland. Occasional travel to project sites across the UK may be required.
