Happy Nest are proud to be supporting a lovely professional family based in the beautiful village of Lymm (WA13) in their search for a nurturing and proactive Nanny Housekeeper. This is a live-out, long-term permanent position offering a fantastic opportunity to join a warm and welcoming home. Their current nanny is sadly leaving after 10 amazing years, so they're hoping to find another special someone to become part of the family.
About the Role:
The family have three engaging children aged 8, 10, and 12 who live with them on an alternating weekly schedule. They are active and bright - into football, swimming, cubs/scouts, cricket, cycling, chess, F1, and go-karting so theres never a dull moment. Both parents are full-time NHS cancer surgeons, therefore childcare reliability is essential to avoid disruption to patient care. The job plan is paid for 30 hours per week, distributed on an alternating weekly basis during school term-time (school holiday hours continue payment at 30 hours per week, but weekly schedule arranged separately).
Week A:
* Monday to Thursday (7:00am -7:30pm)
* Full Nanny Housekeeper duties
Week B:
* Monday (7:00am- 12:00pm) and Thursday (2:00 -7:00pm) only
* Focused Housekeeping support
* Nanny duties for Monday morning care/school run, and Thursday afternoon mid-week visit
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
* Morning care, breakfast prep, and school runs (on foot and by car)
* Afternoon school pick-ups and transport to after school activities
* Dinner preparation and homework supervision
* Childrens laundry and bedding
* Family housekeeping and household organisation during the school day including laundry, vacuuming, cleaning the house.
* Online food shopping
* A driver is essential
Ideal Candidate:
Were looking for someone experienced, trustworthy, reliable and calm under pressure, who thrives in a busy household and loves being around older children. The right person will be highly organised, confident managing multiple childrens routines, and have a proactive attitude to both childcare and housekeeping duties.
Requirements:
* Minimum of 5 years professional childcare experience in a similar role
* Enhanced DBS certificate (or willing to obtain via Happy Nest)
* Valid Paediatric First Aid certificate
* Excellent, checkable childcare references
* Childcare qualifications preferred
This family are offering a competitive hourly rate of £16-£17 gross per hour, depending on experience, and they're hoping to find someone ready to commit and build a strong, lasting relationship with them just like their current nanny has done for the past decade.
