Band 7 Weight Management Nurse Clinical Specialist – Fixed Term (1 year maternity cover)

Position Summary: Provide a seamless service in the education, endocrine investigation and treatment of patients in the medical weight management service. Lead national tier 3 service database collection locally with support from MDT team and lead for MOS. Responsible and accountable for patients in the medical weight management pathway, collaborating closely with the Endocrine Investigation Unit (Thomas Addison Unit).
Key Responsibilities:
* Educate patients on medical weight management
* Conduct endocrine investigations and provide treatment
* Lead on national tier 3 service database collection locally
* Coordinate with multidisciplinary team including diabetes, endocrine, surgical bariatric CNS, pharmacists, business managers, patient support groups, PALS, ancillary staff, matron for medical outpatients, research personnel, estate, security and catering
* Provide seamless service to patients
