Based in Ninewells Hospital within the offices of the Integrated Hospital Discharge team, Dundee.
You will work from 08:06 to 16:30, full-time, 37 hours per week.

Requirements
You will have a Social Work Degree, CQSW, Dip SW, or CSS (with appropriate option).
Responsibilities
You will provide professional leadership as a first-line manager with day-to-day operational management responsibility for a team or teams delivering front-line social work and health services within an integrated hospital discharge team. You will ensure high standards of practice and service provision are maintained, and all statutory requirements are met, including:
* The Social Work (Scotland) Act 1968
* The Adult Support and Protection (Scotland) Act 2007
* The National Health Service and Community Care Act 1990
* The Community Care and Health (Scotland) Act 2002
The Individual
You will have experience working with adults, older people, or individuals with disabilities. You should possess excellent communication skills, knowledge, and experience of Adult Support and Protection legislation. Experience in workload management and good organizational skills are essential.
You should have a working knowledge of relevant legislation and the ability to reflect on and analyze situations. Experience working with partner agencies and the ability to lead, advise, assess, and respond to critical situations are required.
You must be committed to ongoing staff support and development, work within professional standards, and adhere to local policies and procedures. The ability to travel effectively as part of your duties is necessary.
You must be eligible to register with the Scottish Social Services Council within a specified timeframe. This position is considered regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check before a formal employment offer is made by Dundee City Council.
