Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Duty Manager/ Supervisor to oversee our bar operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for hospitality, ensuring an exceptional experience for our guests. You will be responsible for managing the bar staff, maintaining high standards of service, and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. Your culinary experience and knowledge of food preparation will play a vital role in creating a diverse and appealing menu.
Responsibilities
* Supervise and manage bar staff, providing training and support to ensure excellent service.
* Oversee daily operations of the bar, including inventory management and ordering supplies.
* Develop and implement creative drink menus that align with customer preferences.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, particularly food safety standards.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area.
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food production and service.
* Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints promptly.
* Monitor financial performance, including sales targets and budgeting.
* Foster a positive team environment through effective team management and leadership.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in a supervisory role within a bar or restaurant setting.
* Strong culinary experience, including food preparation and cooking skills.
* Knowledge of hospitality best practices and food safety regulations.
* Excellent leadership abilities with a focus on team management.
* Previous experience in kitchen operations is an advantage.
* Barista experience is desirable but not essential.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with both staff and customers.
* A passion for delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced environment.
