Main Duties and Responsibilities
1. Preparation and maintenance of weekly and monthly management reporting, including trend evaluation, revenue and profitability analysis, cost investigation and relevant commentary
2. Creating annual sales budgets and quarterly rolling forecasts, and providing support to the Commercial Director and team to review performance at various levels
3. Evaluation of NPD projects from a financial perspective, working with various business departments to make recommendations based on collective findings
4. Co-ordination of product pricing; working alongside sales and marketing departments to manage annual price reviews and provide relevant market analysis
5. Providing insight into business costs, including material COS, wage costs and manufacturing output
6. Working as part of a cross-functional team on projects throughout the business, identifying and actioning continuous improvement opportunities
7. Representing FP&A and Finance departments at meetings and providing financial guidance and direction to other business areas as necessary
8. Any other reasonable duties or project work which may be required by management from time to time.
Essential requirements
9. Qualified management accountant or currently undertaking professional accountancy qualification (CIMA or ACCA)
10. A minimum of 2 years relevant experience gained within a finance environment
11. Third level qualification, ideally in business or finance
12. Strong analytical skills
13. Excellent IT skills and sound knowledge of MS Excel
14. Flexibility in response to changing organisational requirements
15. Excellent time management and commitment to meet deadlines
16. Strong communication skills, and confidence to interact well with senior leaders
Desirable requirements
17. Experience in cost accounting or profitability analysis role
18. Experience working within FMCG or manufacturing environment
19. Experience in Microsoft Nav/Business Central or PowerBI
