Accounts Assistant - Wirral - up to £28k - Permanent
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join a friendly and supportive finance team within a well-established and growing business based on the Wirral.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong bookkeeping experience who enjoys working in a varied role and being an important part of the day-to-day finance operations. The Role
As Accounts Assistant, you will support the finance team with a range of accounting duties, ensuring the smooth running of the company’s financial processes.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing credit control and maintaining customer accounts
* Processing accounts payable and receivable
* Raising invoices and processing supplier payments
* Assisting with the preparation of VAT returns
* Recording and maintaining accurate daily financial transactions
* Maintaining organised financial records for audit and compliance
* Supporting the finance team with general accounts duties
Skills & Experience Required
* Previous bookkeeping or accounts experience (approx. 3 years+)
* Strong working knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
* Organised, proactive and able to manage multiple tasks
* Positive attitude and strong team player
