Queenborough School & Nursery are looking to appoint a caretaker to join our OUTSTANDING Team.
The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining a safe, clean and well-presented school environment, supporting the day-to-day operation of the site. You will work closely with school staff to ensure the premises are secure, well maintained and ready to support learning for pupils and staff.
The post is 42.5 hours per week, worked in line with the operational needs of the school.

We are looking for someone who:
1. Undertake general repairs and maintenance around the establishment, inside and out, storing and maintaining resources such as cleaning supplies and equipment.
2. Ensure a safe environment, maintaining security of the site i.e. opening and closing of the premises including those for lettings, checking and changing CCTV tapes, fixing or reporting any problems, attend to all contractors visiting or working on site, to ensure a safe environment and liaising with line manager as appropriate.
3. Complete compliance checks, maintain and update records including boilers, fire alarms, water checks and risk assessments as applicable.
4. Support the Senior Leaders of Operations and Finance in managing on-site activities, including lettings.
5. Support the senior leadership team with all day-to-day activities associated with the school site.
6. Undertake cleaning and work alongside the Operations Manager to ensure that high standards of cleaning are maintained.
7. Ensure that the site is safe to open following adverse weather or liaise with the Headteacher about the need for alternative arrangements to be made.
8. Monitor the school’s systems for heating and waste disposal to ensure that these function well, performing remedial work as appropriate or liaising with outside professionals if required.
